Gioiosa Prosecco & Panettone, a match made in heaven!

According to an article published today by the Telegraph, sales of Panettone have risen by 42 percent since 2012 when the classic Italian Christmas sweet bread first started to become popular in the UK.

It’s not surprising when you consider what the Italians have known for generations: Panettone is delicious! And it makes for the ideal holiday dessert, not too sweet but just sweet enough, and a genuine show-stopper on the Christmas table.

In Italy, one of the traditional pairings for Panettone is Prosecco. Like the sweet bread itself, the wine has just the right amount of sweetness so as not to overpower the Panettone.

As any Italian will tell you, it’s a match made in heaven!
